Fairtrade Fortnight 2022 is again concerned with highlighting the challenges that climate change brings to farmers in the communities Fairtrade works with. The online Choose the World you Want Festival will return from 21st February to 6th March.
Lancaster, Morecambe and District Fairtrade Group has been raising awareness of related issues.
To coincide with COP26 at the end of October two members of the group took part in the People’s Parade through Lancaster, one dressed as a Fairtrade coffee sack and the other as a teabag and between them they carried a banner.
Earlier posts give examples of ways to encourage people to view interesting short films. A quick way to remind ourselves about the connections between Fairtrade and combating Climate Change is by spending three minutes looking at the film: “How Fairtrade is tackling the Climate Crisis”.
